    Default Aerial change

    Hey guys

the old owner of my car was a.. stupid person?

Anyway somehow he has managed to snap the aerial off at the base.. how I wish to change it but i have no idea how to remove the old one..

    Suggestions? guides? Anything?

    Thanks

you have to remove the inner guard. this may include mudflaps and several plastic lugs. You may also find it easier if you remove the wheel. once thats out of the way you cant get to the antenna behind the guard.

    Take wheel off.
Take out inner guard, by unscrewing mud flaps and taking out lugs
Get under glove box, and somewhere under there to the left (near the aerial) is a plug. Take it out as that connects the aerial.
    Unscrew current aerial.
    Take out aerial.
    Put in new aerial.
Plug in new aerial to the plug that you pulled the old one out of.
    Put inner guard back in
    Put wheel back on.

Dunno. Just make sure it is suited to a VN-VP-VR-VS Commodore.

Yeah, inner guard is the whole thing under the panels, it stretches right from down near mudflap area to front of wheel arch.

Oh, and finding the connector near the glove box can be a bit tricky. Well, I found it tricky anyway...
