Default Vp roof lining "sagging" where to get it fixed in Melbourne

As the title says the roof lining in my dads car started to sag during summer and now the whole thing has collapsed. Does anyone know where in Melbourne I could get it fixed and raughly for how much.

Mines starting to sag, and when it does get worse and unbearable, I'll either pull it out and re-glue it myself, or replace it with a different material. It'd be much cheaper than paying an auto trimmer to do it. It'd cost a fortune.

Or if you really don't want to do it yourself, see if you can pick up a decent one for a reasonable price at a wreckers.

I called a few places and the quotes were $200-$250 range. But all said that the new roof lining is not the original one but close to it. Does Holden sell the original roof lining thats on my car ?

LOL this always happens with cars left out in the aussie summer time ..

instead of fixing it or replacing it i folded the fabric over it self in a neat way and got the old stapler onto it .. heheh

bodgy but works ... and 5 mins work ..... just do it neatly and no one will notice ..

problem is boys that the foam underneath gets brittle and sometimes it cant really be glued cos it just gets hard and the lining falls again.
200-250? fark me drunk thats un fkn believable. just get your panel beaters to order you a new one from penfolds it will be a bit more that 130 like i paid but you will know its brand new and wont sag anytime soon.
piss easy to fit as well

My sister and a mate just paid $180 each to get theirs done.

I need mine done too, but I have a sunroof so I can't be bothered stuffing around myself.

just rip it out of the car and sand all the crap off the cardboard then re-glue it and stick it back in the roof! im doing mine atm but ive chosen to go with red leather with a holden symbol underneath it, instead of just plain cloth! If your gonna do it why not customize it while your at it?

do what I did I just gently folded it over towards the outer side of each side & corner by smoothing it out with your hand to each side or corner and fold it over & use a stapler ... is bodgy but hey doesnt cost anything and if you do it neatly wont be noticed.

I got a quote from a local auto trimmer for new material in a choice of 6 different colours all re trimmed labour inc. for $130.

Easier for me if i drop it there, go to work, pick it up after work.

They start to sag and generally during the summer they drop quicker due to the heat drying things out quicker.

Thats just the contact adheasive showing its age best thing u can do is re spray it with more adheasive 6-8 years is its expected life span but b4 u add new contact u must remove the old stuff with a scrapper otherwise u'll run into the same drammas not 2 far down the track.

Ur local hardware store or bunnings has it the best stuff there actually doesnt come in spray cans (coz they dont last) but in a tin its called qik grip but u can put it in a nomal spray gun which is best but u can also spread it on with a paint brush just takes a lil longer 2 apply and with a gun u can control the thickness u put on.

Both surfaces need 2 have the contact applied 4 it 2 work and if its 2 thick u have 2 wait longer (depending on room temp aswell) b4 it becomes tacky 2 apply both surfaces 2gether. If dun right u only have 1 chance at it lol so extra hands r always handy but not nessasary.
