im in the process of dumping my engine in, can only seem to get 1 side in, last time i changed engine mounts i ended up removing the aircon and that bracket and bolting the bracket up after
last time i did mounts i put the mount in and then bolted the bracket to the block

When putting a V6 in you get one side in then rest a little bit of weight on the other side and using a pry bar lever the other side in. You need to sort of twist the 2 studs and get one in then twist the opposite way to get the other stud in. Its a bit of a mission but it can be done quiet easily that way. Its the sort of thing that once you have done it once it is something you wont forget how to do. I have done many a V6 engine change and this is the way i do it, hasnt failed me yet.....
ahhhh, sounds hard to explain, im sure ill figure it out
gonna be running tonight you reckon
maybe tommorrow, after i get it bolted in to the mounts, just gotta connect a few wires, do up torque converter bolts and dump... we'll see
im thinking now i might aswell rip the aircon off and insert the mount into the kframe and then bolt up the mount+ bracket to the block... sounds easiest to me
My WAY!
Step One: get Right hand ride of engine into position
Step Two: Lower Engine slightly so that the left hand side is almost touching the K frame
Step Three: Tie a piece of thin but strong rope around the mount and run it under the car to the opposite side(so if your puttin the drivers side in, run it to the passenger side)
Step Four: Slide a rod through the robe so its like a water ski
Step Five: PULL!!!!
Step Five b: Get someone else to lower the engine so it drops in
Step Six: Put all four nuts on but only a few turns
Step Seven: Raise Engine once again until it reaches the nuts and wont go any higher
Step Eight: Pull rope out
Step Nine: Lower engine
Engines IN!
aZk.
it was a pain in the ass but i had to remove aircon and bolt the drivers side in first then bolt up the, it was a bastard and took a few hours but its finally in!!!! just gotta bolt up dump pipe / torque converter and shes all ready to go
