    Default shortened shockers

hi guys. i need to buy shortened shockers and have come across some ac delco ones on ebay.

would these be good as i have lovells superlows in the rear and standard shockers at the moment so would these make it stiffer? i dont want to spend a fortune on shockers. any help would be muchly appreciated. thanx

what price they going for? Theres a guy suzukisuper selling ultima shocks for $!20 for fronts and $88 for the rear. Shortened shocks are better for lowered suspension but for superlow you can get away with shortened in just the rear

they're going for $59 + postage...its a buy it now. what shockers are recommended for super lows? i have standard shockers in there now and the rear springs fall out every time my car goes on a hoist.

Shortened rear shocks are needed with superlows. Fronts you can use standard but i would get some shortened or heavier duty ones for the front

I think it will ride about the same i ...have lovell superlows...and i put shorter kyb's in the rear...and it still feels the same to me a bit bouncy..but the springs don't fall out any more...

I have not driven mine since putting in the springs but i can bounce up and down on the towbar with the standard airshocks with no hoses and it seems not bouncy at all feels a lot nicer than the standard springs did raises back up slow like it should when you bounch it your shocks must have been toast georgeonboost if i hit bumps i reckon it would come off the springs and they might fall out

Never knew there was a shortened rear shocker avaliable.

I've never had my springs fall out, ever. i'm sure everyone has seen how low my car is, i've been spamming most posts with it lately, so i'll save it this time haha
But my car handles like its on rails, so i'll leave it the way it is now

with good shocks it should never really bounch off the springs if you come off the ground it might be a different story

I mean when jacking the car up they never fall out.

If my car is ever in a position that the spring is at risk of coming out, i think i have bigger problems than the shocker....

Is that price per shock of for the pair? KYB's are only $50 each for shortened rear shocks...

Once you take the spring off the strut, undo the big nut where the shaft goes into the body of the strut, if they have never been done, you will have to tip the oil out that is in there. The new cartridges come with new locking caps.
