    Question VR Door Pods

    hi guys,

I got myself some VR door pods for my VP Calais.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what I need to do to get em in there or if you can give me any tips before i go and start cutting my doors up.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Cheers

PS: I tried searching but couldn't find anything.

The best sorta way to do it is:

Lay the door trim down and place the pod ontop

Trace around the pod with a lighe pencil whihc can be erased.

Measure out the position of the holes and mark them onto your trim

Take the pod(black part) and place it upside down where it would normall sit within the trace.

    Trace around it

    Cut that out

    Drill all the other holes

    Screw pod to trim

    Reinstall everything...

Its kinda tricky to do, bit of trial and error i guess....

    aZk.

Finished putting them in last week..

I'm pretty happy with the result.

Despite the difference in colours it doesnt actually look that bad 'in person' same colour as the carpet at the top of the door and my seat covers so yeh.

Just thought I'd bump this thread up as I'm doing mine tomorrow or Wednesday

I've marked out the holes, etc from the VR trims I got the speaker pods from but was just curious how easy it is to cut the door trims and if a normal jigsaw blade will do it fine ?
If ignorance is bliss why aren't there more happy people around ?

i just done mine the other week, i used a jigsaw with a med\fine blade on it. worked fine.

if you are going to put 6.5" fronts in like i did, they dont fit in the black plastic door pod thing, so make up some spacers using MDF
