sure have! i installed my walbro 600hp pump earlier this year...

    step 1:
if the pump still works undo the fuel filter and keep turning the key over to prime it and pump out all the petrol... if not have fun with a hose like i did!

step 2: get under the car (making sure its supported on axel stands) unplug wiring and undo hoses to the fuel lines

    step 3:
undo the 4 screws or bolts i cant remember that surround the circular section where the wiring and hoses goes, (if you've failed to drain enough petrol you'll get a face full of fuel...

    step 4:
with it unbolted, very carefully pull the fuel pump out, it looks like a L shape, becareful not to dislodge the filter bag from the pump

    step 5:
remove pump and install new pump into the arm (dont worry, fuels a non conductor soo exposed metal will not bridge between petrol as if it were water.. this is a reason that water in fuel is VERY bad)

    step 6:
    reassemble !!!! and done

nope. its only really needed when the current pump cant supply enough fuel in time with the amount of air going in. which is when you start doing engine work or forced induction

Im looking at dropping my present fuel tank and slotting in a v8/80L tank. Would it be a good idea to replace the pumps with after market higher capacity ones?

Is there any harm in running a much higher pressure pump in a stock system?

how much pressure are we talking about?

ultimately the fuel pressure regulator will limit the fuel pressure to around 40psi (so my gauge says) when its ment to be 43psi,

either way, the Bosch 040 or Walbro GSS341 are good replacements, both flow the same, both @43psi, but the Bosch is a noisy bugger,

you can find them on ebay for $120-170 to your door brank spankin new, also the wirings a straight swap! the pumps usualy come with some crimps so you dont have to soldier

    255LPH = 500-600hp powa rating

either way im using the walbro one and id reccomend it! unless you wanted to go spastic out of tank one,
