Windscreen Question

I really dont know if i can post this in here but does anyone know how much to get a front windscreen Removed and a new one i have sitting here installed... Im pretty sure it wouldnt be to much since i have another window to replace the old one but looking for an estimate on how much it would cost to do that..

if its a matter of out with the old and they provide the new one, around $150

but if you want them to put in a window you have there.... probably $50 + the cost of rubbers... (about 20)

well thats what it was for me when i fixed the window rust.

ahh crap.. ok how about just to fix the rusts n thats it? you have them along ur windows to? on da back bottom n top parts and bits on the front

if its just surface rust scrape it off and hit with some rust convertor and so long as your rubber isnt cracked, ripped, stiffened up it should be fine to use again

Because if you are in a major city, get a quote from a windscreen mob (will probably be around $150 - $180, $200 tops). Kick the screen out and then fix the rust properly.

nah it was $150 for the new front window and installation...
$50 for taking out the back window and putting it back in.....

thats how i know the price for both because i had bad rust on both front and back windows.

all the rest was to fix the rust..... and it wasn't surface, i could pull chunks of metal off the body..


but back on topic.... so it should be about that price but like reaper said, give them a call

A good quality sharp box cutter knife with the flexible blade cuts them out & then assume the Yoga position in the front seat.Gunna do this to my son's VN to fix a leak & remove sum surface rust around the seal.Dun a few VK windscreens b4.I'm presuming the windscreen dept at Holdens wouldn't have 2 gone hi tech between VK's & VN's so the theory should be the same.
An interesting windscreen story comes to mind here.Yrs ago we owned an old XC goon with a leaky front w/screen on the top pass side.It was in immac cond & we had it 13 yrs.We took it evrywhere.Went 4 wheel driving in it many times on our camping holidays.Up sand dunes, over creeks & along roads Army Tanks wouldn't go down, but back to the story.At the same time my eldest bro bought a XD Wag & it too had a leak in the same place.My Mum buys an XE Fairmont & guess wat...???it leaked it the same spot.I said "is that prick still working at Fords...???
