vn starter motors

hey guys my misses just brought a vn V8 manual and the starter motor needs to be replaced. i was just wondering if there is a difference in the starter motors if one is manual and the other is auto???

any help would be sweet

hmmmm, i was told there was a difference between the 2, like one had more teeth then the other.

yes i too have herd that they are diffeant but some also say they are the same so i dunno lol!!

5 litres ran the same starter auto & manual. It was only the v6's that ran a different starter auto to manual.....
