Hey,
I've been having trouble for a while now with my VP Berlina.
There's this loud clunking noise coming from the front right of my car (somewhere near the wheel). It happens whenever there are bumps on the road, no matter how small they are and it happens on any surface.
I can also feel it through the steering wheel.
And for some reason it only starts making noises after I have driven it for 50-60 minutes..... before then it's as if the problem doesn't exist.
Any ideas??????
Thanks!
Hmmm ****ed struts/shockies, loose boody panels, power steering rack somehow ****ed, loose strut, ****ed balljoint????
I FRYED RICE!!!
link pin bushes are non existant.

Yeah, a shagged swaybar link pin will do that. Check the vertical pin linking your swaybar to your strut. There should be a large round bush on the bottom and top of each end of the link. If not, it's replacement time![]()

link pin bushes are a pain to do on your own.So find a friend to help.(i found out the hard way)
Yeah, you gotta jack the car up by the K-Frame, support it on stands, then use your jack to put pressure on the correct wheel to relieve the swaybar tension. Damn pain.

Common guys don't you own a crowbar:P ram it under the kframe and push hard on the sway bar :P
i have had the similar problem. i have a VT commodore.
every time i push and release the brake, there is a clunk noise from the front left of the wheel bay, the clunk is also when i go over a bump. i have changed the the sway bar links and bushes. i have replaced the the bearing hubs. and now the noise is still there. i know i need a wheel alighment, but i dont know if there would more bushes that may be making the noise and need replacing.
thanks
My commodore used to clunk over bumps in the front prior to replacing the caster rod bushes. now no clunking over sleeping police men !!!
had the similar problem, had new bushes front and rear, pedders checked it and said half my brand new bushes were worn out, lol but the clunking was still there. ended up being a loose strut insert collar on the drivers side
