Default Water in with the trans fluid!

I have a mates VP Calais 5.0L to run around in while i get the Falcon going.

It leaks ( quite a lot ) of water because the bottom radiator hose has a crack in it and when i looked at the water coming out it had a red/brown tinge to it.

So i checked the oil ( in case of head gasket ) but that was fine.
Then i checked the trans fluid ( trans has been slipping a bit and was " rebuilt " 4 months ago ) and it was a mix of water and trans fluid.

So how can i fix it with not spending much ( or any ) money?

It won't be covered under warranty if the radiator failing has caused the transmission to have problems. It is unusual for water to get into the trans, it is more likely to have trans fluid in the radiator. The radiator must be really bad for it to have gone into the transmission.

a new radiator is only a couple hundred $$$ or get a second hand one atleast. get the trans flushed profesionally as the water contamination can't be good for it and don't drive it in the mean time unless you want to risk damage to the trans

there's really no point in taking it back, the water in the trans fluid isn't something that the trans shop has done unless it's coming from somewhere other then that faulty radiator. unless the radiator was stuffed when it went there, they aren't liable for anything. and even then they only shoulda pointed out the fact that the transcooler in the radiator was faulty and was going to damage your newly reco'd transmission.

suggest it gets flushed sooner then later, water in the trans itself going to do damage like rust in important places unless it's removed soon as
