Hi All,
has anyone got any info on coil leads to plugs ? VP Commodore Vacationer V6 3.8L
friend played a joke and removed all of them and dont know where they go back now,
they had been completely removed.
so i need coil 1 - L1, 2 - R2 so i can fix
i know sounds stupid but hey he regrets it nowlol
the standard coils have numbers on each output post representing the cylinder it should fire. if you don't ahve the original coils then it's a little more difficult

1 4
2 5

get your friend to buy you a Gregory's repair manual![]()
lol
he sore enough at the moment,
i got it i think. if not i'll be back.
if i put in wrong can i damage it ?
yes if you keep driving, probably not for a few seconds.
i just put bosch leads on mine and they dont even have numbers on it so i just put them 1 by 1 the longer ones on the left side of my car and the small ones on the right side. i got a problem but im managing it ok i think 1 of my leads always pops out of its place it doesnt seem to click in like the others do hmm i might have to check it out i dunno.

1,3,5 down the passenger side, 2,4,6 down the drivers. A good way to tell where number 1 is on a V engine is to look across the V, the bank that is further forward will be number 1 at the front.
thanx all for you help.
been going like a dream for hours now all ok, thankyou.
My bosch leads dont clip on. Have you noticed they still fell a little loose ? Do the heat shield and spring on yours go all they way down against the block, or does it stop just above the plug hex ? Also if you stare down the end of the boot, there is a metal tab sticking out, on one of mine its missing, i may have pushed it out not sure. I haven't had a miss fire yet. My old leads i just took off never had those tabs.
