vn door trim plastic lock

hey guys i"m new here so go easy
Now i did a search first but didn't give me a clear answer on vn but did see a mention about vp so not sure if it will still apply.
Anyway I've got some better trims to put on the doors but there's just one thing stopping me swapping them over.
I took off the winder and clip plus the screws and plastic clips behind the trim.
But can't seem to find a way to get the plastic door lock at the top of the trim off.
Now i thought it would be easy just slide the rod off somewhere and pull the lock up through the trim but no it's not easy to slide it off somewhere and it also looks to screw into the plastic lock so there doesn't seem to bee a way . More than likely I'm just blind and have missed the most simple thing. So pls let me know what I'm doing wrong and how to get the plastic lock off.

the red tab which u gotta get off... get a small flat head or a knife n unclip.. pretty easy once u've dun it a few times

yeah as above, the red bit on the lock tab, needs to pull towards you about 3mm.
