hollow noise when accelerate
hi, guys, I just noticed a hollow sound from left front when I press the accelerate, horrified, is this the engine or the transmission. I just changed the engine oil, and the trany has been flushed less than one year. I did drive t he car with out putting the engine cap back several times but what else could this be?

yes, hollow, when I accelerate, but when I release the accelerator, it diapear. today I could not replicate it. could that be a driving shaft? or transmission?Originally Posted by Mack

its not a vaccume leak or it'd be louder on idle
I think I know what type of sound you are talking about.
It used to happen when accelerating at 100km/h in fifth for me. It was like a deep hollow induction sound.
It was a long time ago so I'm sorry I can't remember what the issue was or whether it just went away by itself.
yes, deep and hollow, but mine is from 30to 60km/h.
