Fuel Light in vp

hi all.
got a 1992 vp executive wagon 5spd, by the looks of it a level 1 cluster. my grandma has the same car but in sadan form and auto. she has a level 2 cluster and has also a fuel light. but the light isnt in the cluster part but actually where all the warning lights and things are. so do i have to get a hole new one of them if i want a fuel light?

Mine doesn't have a fuel light that I've ever seen? unless the bulbs blown because I've had it pretty much run out of fuel about 100 times and never seen anything

level 3 clusters have the fuel light and warning chime when you get to about 70k's left
Yes you'll need a new cluster which has it i don't know if level 2 do but if you want want a level 3 cluster look at the sticky at the top of vn-vp section.

E means empty or is it Enough, guys it cost the same amount to keep the top half full as it does the bottom half

My ute never had the low fuel light with the L2 dash it but with the stato interior it has,even with the original fuel tank.

Haha you shouldn't put trust even in a low fuel light or distance to empty. I ran out of petrol when it said i still had 37km of petrol left
