Just put on sum VR clubsports on my vn and the front rubbers are rubbing somewhere when its on full lock. It only seems to happen when the car is bouncing up and down on the suspension tho. Any ideas?
Lol nice and direct, i had the whole thing except the springs replaced 2 months ago. The guys at Bob Jane then told my dad who took the car for me during work that the balance arm thingy that attaches to the bushes is bent and needs to be replace due to a '**** driver' ...I have never in my life hit one thing in a car so u can imagine the uproar at the accusations.
Anyway is there anything other than slamming into a building that could cause that sort of damage?
^^^ Z-Bars?? I've bent a few just because they are **** weak. Replaced one and then found out that the other one had bent in the meantime!
I think they are the ones, they are pretty thin but they arnt 'that' weak. They can take sum slamming into the gutters when parking... im told. I got accused of drifting and hitting ****, and while i dont deny a little bit of sideways action like i said ive never hit a thing. It was a new rod too![]()
I've never hit a thing either, not gutters, speedhumps, hard bumps or anything of the like. I have been told that they are prone to bending.
Ill let the jury at Bob Jane know, thanks man!
Our local Pedders (who also do our race car setup and are very good) told me to replace them with Whiteline adjustables as they are alot stronger. I haven't done it yet, but will get around to it sometime in the future...
vr/vs ones are the same but bigger diameter i *think*.
VR still has the smaller ones. I have tried a VS one and it still bent
*UPDATE*
I got my mum to back the car out for me and the tread of the tyre is rubbing on a loose bit of front bumper. So thats what the loud rubbing sound on full lock was.
But this still doest explain why the car should be driving so loose?
Also i spoke to my mechanic who put on the link bars that were bent, he says they are supposed to be bent! Anyway still looking for help on the issue. thanks guys![]()
