VN Blown

Hey well the worse had happened my VN wagon has done a crank well so tge mechanic thinks.

Heres the story drove it on Friday started making a knocking noise. Thought it was the harmonic balancer, left it drove it home on the sunday fingers crossed and it **** itself about 10 mins later. Key turns but doesn't fire

Spoke to the mechanic and he recons that he cant turn the crank at all

So looks like the crank shaft has broke inside.

Now what shall I do? Has this happened to anyone else?

it happend 2 me im a landcruiser had2 rebuild the bottom end

if its the crank then it probably will be expensive to replace (parts + labor if you get the mechanic to do it). other option would be look for a replacement engine which iv heard can get them for a few hundred now?? Or if you have the cash you could refresh the engine while its dismantled
