Question Problems with V8 TV on V6

I got a V8 TB and i've put it on my V6, and the engine light comes up, i changed the sensors and its still the same. So i put my V6 TB one back on with the same sensors and its fine. I did paint it ( not the inside TB ) could that be a problem i could'nt see that it would be. Perhaps the sensors are different on V8s i didnt think they where. its off a VP V8.

    Thanx.

    Sorry about heading lol.

it should go on fine. pretty sure the sensors are the same. did you also change the IAC, maybe thats faulty on the V8 TB? have you tried resetting the idle?

when i had the V8 TB on i took it to the mechanic and got a comp[ test he said it was a sensor in there i changed the tps and still the same thing. i took the V8 TB off put the 6 Tb on with the same sensors off the V8 TB and it was fine, i have tryed adjusting the V8 1 but the engine light just stays on all the time wen the V8 TB is on there.

Which fault code is it logging? TPS?

ALDL Information for the VN & VP Holden Commodore

It's on the linked page but to spell it out, earth pin B; connect pins A and B and count the flashes of the "Check engine" light.

i have previously run a 70mm TB without any fault codes showing. i removed it unfortunatly cause i had a problem with a sticking throttle which turned out to be a problem with the new larger butterfly not closing properly. currently making a new one so it should be back on in a few weeks hopefully

i measured the elbow, it's about 68-69mm. nothing that can't be fixed by sweeping it out with a carbide cutter (if your going to a 70mm TB)
