Series 2 Coil Pack in Series 1

Hi all,
Just wanted to pick some brains....I have been told that a series 2 coil pack (the 3 seperate coils) will go straight into (compatible) a series 1..?? Anyone know if this is true.?? if it is would this be better as the S2 pack is superior to the S1.

will need a different dfi modual, but yeah, it's a straight bolt on job, just dont connect the dfi moduel earth strap to it when you change over. s2 coil is better cause if you lose 1 coil you can easily replace the coil that is faulty

BTW...why no earth strap..??

no need for earth strap as with the series2 moduel there is no where for it to connect and it's not needed, as the connetor has a earth, holden jus tdoubled up the earth

dont know how true this is but ive been told that the S2 pack has more resistance than the S1 pack and there for retards the spark. the best thing to do is get on to MSD and get the buick coil packs there the same as the S2 packs but beefed up
