Default VP V6 almost carkd it. recon & supercharge? or v8? pros n cons?

orritey i drive a vp v6 calais ... done all the stuff that most vn vp owners do and thats spend too much time getting it fixed than getting the mods done.

so far its got new powersteering rack & pump
    new swar bars n bushes
    new gearbox mounts
    oil leaks stopped
    bellmouth restrictor removed
    crappy pod filter
replaced vp front end with vn front end (mate crashed right side into a cabin on schoolies)
    sprayed in atlas grey
    18inch 5 spoke rims
    still stocked for ride height
genie headers + 3inch straight through exhaust a resinator (3inch too big obviously for a v6)

so its looking half ok from the outside. but its oh so slow. engine has done 230,000 kms and i want more power. i dont want to get rid of it because of the nice paint job and interior is in mint condition.

do i get the engine reconditioned and drop a supercharger under the bonnet...drop a vx supercharged engine under the bonnet...or go the whole yard and drop in a v8..possibly from a vr ss or something around there.

what would be the cheapest/best way to go. im pretty sure putting a v8 in it means prolly new diff, gearbox, brakes, tailshaft, computer. but would the same work need to be done for a supercharger??

help me out im so lost.

plz dont say "sell it and buy a v8" ... coz i like the idea of building a car. and lets just say money isnt on short supply

thankyou for reading and please lend a hand
    cheers
