hey all, need info quick. i took my standard steering wheel off a few years ago. now im wating to sell the car the was wondering how big ur steering wheel has to be to pass a qld road worthy. i think my old wheel is in the shed somewhere, if the old man didnt chuck a NA NA and throw it away. but if anyone can tel lme the smallest u can go that would be sweet.
also does anyone have a spare wiring harness for the rear left of a sedan, one of my brake lights goes completly out when the brakes are applied, done all sorts of testing on it and i think it may be missing a wire, compared to the other brake lights, so if anyone is looking to unload a harness for cheap let me no. cheers
i believe the stock bus driver diameter is as small as you can go
id be surprised if you didnt get a defect after changing it
it is best to stick with the stock diameter, as smaller wheels not designed for the rack will put more stress on the splines at the back of the wheel and strip them, usually when doing that tight turn.
Are you sure that was a problem related to your steering wheel though? I mean... regardless of the size of the steering wheel, you're still putting the same force on the steering rack... turning quickly with a large wheel would then, in your instance, also foul the rack?

I got a momo sports steering wheel on my VN and its passed 3 roadworthys in the last 2 years. as long as it points strait and you can see the guages, it will pass at most RWC testers in Vic.
