I started my car up this morning and it idled very rough for the first 15seconds then i looked when i was driving off and alot of condensation was coming out the exhuast. It always has blown a little bit but never this much and even blows quite a bit on idle. I had been for a 15 min dirve yesterday and i left my car on when i parked and there was alot of condensation coming out the exhaust as well
Any ideas on what could be causing this problem
And by the way its a VN series 2 3.8 V6
Cheers, Jonathan
It is quite possibly the inlet manifold gasket that has gone, leaking coolant into one of the cylinders. Check your coolant level and see if it is dropping.
Yeap, that what it was on my VN Series 1... Pretty easy to fix if you are handy with tools. Of course I was told it was most likely a head gasket, so I did those as well. Turned out I couldn't find any evidence of head gasket involvement...
Good luck with yours...
Cheers
Thanks for your help guys, ive been offered a engine thats done pretty low kms for $400 so i maybe putting that in, if not I will do inlet manifold gasket, head gasket and rocker cover gaskets all at the same time.
Just was thinking that if i put a new engine in i can paint me engine bay at the same time and make it look all nice![]()
