vn and vr level3 dash

my lvl3 vn dash is up to sh*t. It shows there to be more fuel in the tank then there actually is, and the speedo acts erratic sometimes and often is on the wrong speed. So I purchased a lvl 3 dash from ebay thinking it was a vp dash as stated. Im rather sure it isn't because it says VR and 1993 so im pretty sure it is a VR lvl3 dash (GM part number: 92042475).

I know you cant put a vr dash into a vn so... what can i do to make the vr dash usable in the VN? do I replace the flexible circuit thing? or what?
Or alternatively do I swap the little chip things inside the dashes (i think it is called a voltage regulator or something) and hope that fixes my original dash?

It's possible that you could find unbroken bits in the VR dash and swap them into the VN dash... but I'd be more likely to ask the seller for a return + refund, and leave him some bad rep if he disagrees. Most ebayers turn around at the idea of bad rep

Other than that, perhaps try and sell the whole days in our for sale section (or even on ebay) to make your money back, and then use that money to buy an actual VN/P cluster

Is the flexible circuitry stuff on the back the same colour on both clusters mate? Or are they different?

They are both green.
All of the numbers on the back for each connector are all different so I guess I will just sell the VR one unless there is still a way to do it.
