Question immobiliser problem vp v6 help?

    hi all,
and before i start, yes i have looked ALL around MANY MANY posts on this and nothing to what i could pickup that could fix my problem except a few possibilities.

2 days ago i was driving my car, parked it to have lunch, turned it off and left keys in (was at home in paddock). had lunch then got back into car, immobiliser turned back on as usual, turned key to on, pressed button several times and did not want to turn off the immobiliser. took keys out and tried to turn it off or to even lock the doors and would not work. its as if something has instantly stoped working. the remote still works as the light still flashes, the warning light ("press remote" light) and tone still come on, it can turn over but not start n stay running of cours because immobiliser is still on.

what would the problem be? i already checked for fuses under steering wheel and under the hood, cant find any labeling alarm system or immobiliser. i thort it would be a fuse or the reciever unit on the car. i really wanna be able to use central locking again and immobiliser. using the key in door will lock and unlock all doors, just the remote wont work if the security switch is turned on or off.

yesty i went a put a new battery in my remote thinking it could be flat enough not to send the signal, and it did nothing so its nothing to do with my remote, yet it did turn the immobilser off, but as soon as i turned it off and left it for five mins and came back to turn it off again to use the car it wouldnt turn off....so that rules out the possibility of a blown fuse bcoz one moment it works and then another time it doesen. could this mean a loos or faulty wiring? i dont really know wats the problem but i do know its not a fuse nor the remote. i checked beside the glove box where there is a black box, im thinking that is the reciever for the immobiliser?? but its not actually mounted....could this be reason why it not working???

    any help appreciated

im having the same problem with my vp wagon, i'll get it started after say 10~20 minutes driving if i turn it off say at the shops comes back 5 minutes later it will just turn over but wont start. It cant be the battery as it works the central locking .. every time, it just wont disarm the immobilizer, if i leave it for 20 minutes and come back and try it will start first go, anyone now how to remove the immobilizer all together?

look down the bottom of the cam belts you,ll see a wirers going to a black box ..pour warter over it (this is the immobliser)will start after this, this was a overheating poblem with the immobliser to close to the engine..over heats...holden dealer can unlock from passanger door between hingers this key you would never think it to be..well hedden..best of luck....Scorpian

That's actually the Crank Angle Sensor (CAS) nothing to do with the immobiliser. Yes open the front passenger door and there should be a keyhole (might have its plastic cover still on) use your zadi key on it.

If you dont have the security key for the keylock switch in the front passenger side door jamb, then a holden dealer should be able to get you a new key using the VIN number from your car,you will probably also need ID/proof of ownership etc Id say...
