i know this may be very menial but on my VP under the side blinkers (just above the tyres) there isnt a 3.8 v6 symbol but i have a SV symbol, the car is an exec but its got power windows and cruise and a power antenna. could any one tell me what the sv means??
it means it's a special vehicle
this was before HSV.. i think (VRs onwards?) so it's still a factory holden. can anyone confirm that?
HSV started on the VL Walky '89 (or the Holden VL Commodore SS Group A SV if you want to be picky).
It might just be a badge (as in, previous owner has re-badged it like that), but VP V6 HSVs were definately produced. About 250-300 all up.
What month/year was your can built? As the V6 HSVs were only build on:
Feb92, July92, March93, May93 (May 1993 were VP Fomula)
it was built on july 1992.
If it's genuine it will be HSV plated, simple as that
ok then, thanks
