Headers for my VN

i dont know much about this area so im hoping you guys can help.

would it be better to go to a set of pacemaker headers for my v6?

what benefits do they have over factory ones?
more power, fuel economy and better sound?

Well, in terms of power - yeah. They flow more freely (less restriction), and boost your power curve toward higher RPM. It's also worth having a 2.5" cat-back exhaust if you're going to install extractors, otherwise your greatest restriction will then simply be further down the exhaust line

Also consider different brands of header/extractor, like HM - which offer more power down low as opposed to high-end.

sweet, didnt know about that high low power thing with different types.

i have a 2.5" exhaust on it dont know if it has catilitic converters.

Im fairly sure that in New Zealand there were not cats until VS's

i wouldnt be surprised we dont have any regulations regarding emissions yet i dont think.
