Hi, heres the story, i have a VP commodore but i swapped the motor in it with a VNS2 motor.
Now the CAS went bust and when i went to change it i realised that between VN and VP the change in the balancer must of come about so the CAS from the VP motor has a much large gap between the 'bits'.
what i am wanting to know is if it is possible to whack on the VP (larger) sensor and also the harmonic balancer that goes with it....will this work, and im asking first bcos taking the balancer off again isnt the most exciting thing to do
Cheers
the vp balancer and CAS have to be used together to work without clearance issues
yer i ended up just trying, i thort i may have had issues with having a VP balancer on the VN motor cos the slightly different weight etc. but all good it runs fine now n no more misfire from my old dodgy CAS
And i sure do know about mixing a CAS with a diff balancer as i smashed up a VN CAS once and they are about $98 for a new one from holden!!, just for that small sensor..
