Smile Custom or Painted Door Trims..

Anyone got any pics of custom or painted door trims in a VN/VP/VQ or even VR/VS Commodore?

Doesn't have to be a pic of your own, but a pic you have of someone elses or something.

Just after some idea's on door trims...

Also after pics of anyone that has used leather or vinyl on the VR/VS door pods instead of carpet?

thats mine, not that great, and i will be doing a different material when i put my new doortrims in (vn calais) so i can actually change the inserts, and ill change the fabric on the doorpods to.. all will happen when i choose a color scheme.
maybe light bluey grey to go with the seats?

Mine aren't really custom but I just used original holden parts. Calais leather inserts, metallic grey door lock button and surround with body colour lock indicator and metallic grey speaker mesh. This pic is old but the only difference now is I have electric windows.

How do you put the fabric on? Like nice and tight? Glue and stapel?
And can you do it your self?

    Cheers

Chrome handles are off series 3 caprice and grange models. Sounds good keesh put up some pics when your finished.

Wavez - you can do it yourself and yes use glue & staples. This is for normal door cards, I think there is a how-to on the forum somewhere.

its more the effort i applaud! um with reference to glueing, the key like just about everything is preperation, make sure you clean what your glueing with prepsol, for glue i use nothing but 3m, they have cans in three levels normal medium and strong(heat resistant) go the strong, one of our trimmer customers you will all no as sam from auto image interiors, told me
-spray what your glueing to once, let it dry completely for 2 hours
-apply another coat to what your glueing to and one coat on the back of your material(vynal etc)
and once tacky, join together and let it dry, its expensive glue but is handy in spray form and is as tough as nails if done right
