G'day Guys, I have DMG no.18 and very proud to have it. The car was produced for Brisbane HSV dealers (Dealers Motoring Group) and were to go to the Brisbane police initially but when the goverment didn't have the money to buy them they were sold to the public. Now only 50 produced in the month of April in 1990. They are in the HSV book, yes there isn't as much written about this car as some others like the GTS-R, but still there. Someone above has stated most of the features of the car, it also has FE2 suspension, extractors, shorten front link arms, antenna buttons up and down (turn on ignition the antenna rises half way up, the buttons raises it higher for better signal and lowers- I haven't worked out yet), alarm system, strengened boot (steel plate up the centre), stronger Panhard rod (larger size), HSV 290mm front rotors and 280mm rear rotors, painted in HSV alpine white, electric windows and power mirrors, velor trim with the HSV red trim around the seats, tinted windows, rear spoiler and VN group A bonnet scoop (added after release or not). Mine also came with the Holden racing team logo on the rear doors but I believe the old owner did that.
Other DMG 90 owners should post what is on there car so we can work out what it was released with and what others have placed on.
Aftyer giving HSV all the details VIN, HSV tag numbers and engine number, when they confirmed it as a DMG 90 I was over the moon, for $100 they will give you a leather compendium and certificate.
If anyone has any feedback that would be great so I can put the picture of this car together.

In all the HSV stuff i've seen, i've never known a car to have the bulge from factory other than Group A's. They were for a purpose, having one on a V6 for looks isn't HSVs style.
Also the Antenna buttons means power antenna
I like rare cars too, i just wouldn't buy an Auto V6![]()

You have to remember that everyone purchase cars just for themselves. The reason I purchased the DMG 90 is because some F%$KWIT slammed into the back of my VN V8 304 motor righting if off when stopped at a red light. This car came along when I had no ride, things change and some situations just happen. I'm not 100% if the Group A bonnet scoop was released on the car which is why I have stated all of the items on my car so people like yourself can give me feedback. In the HSV book which was for sale from Supercheap it doesn't have any pictures of the DMG 90, this is the one thing I seem to be having a lot of trouble tracking down so I can confirm things like this.
Stealthy, you own a awesome looking car mate.
Cheers for the feedback.

if anyone want to buy it just pm me
Here's some facts (unlike what exists in many of the other posts within this thread):
The VN HSV DMG-90 is best described as being basically, a V6 Club Sport (yes, it is two words Club Sport not one word "Clubsport).
What's a VN Club Sport? A VN V8 with the performance side of things (e.g. engine, suspension, and body-kit/aerodynamics related) and NOT the luxury side of things.
This was so much the case, that a special instrument cluster for the club-sport was made so that luxury features were not present, but performance related ones were.
Normal VN HSVs had Performance + Luxury (e.g. SV5000 V8 and SV3800 V6).
VN HSVs like the Club Sport (V8) and the DMG-90 (V6) had Performance + NO Luxury.
Hmmm. So what's an example of an actually "funny" VN HSV? The VN HSV Challenger is one. HSV basically took a V6 Executive, and painted its plastic wheel covers and bumpers body-colour, installed a letter-box grille on it, and put HSV head-light protectors on it. If you have one, you have a HSV.
Great post Aliens, this car goes hard, really gets up and goes. I had a run against a 185i, it didn't look like he looked after it but if it wasn't for him having a rolling start at the lights we would of been dead even for a while. Great info above, car is mean to drive but inside, a tank has more luxury and I know.
I lifted the rear carpet looking for the cars "Holden Production Broadcast" sheet and found it, I have about 7/8's of it which I feel is very important when building up a history of a car. If anyone knows how to read what the numbers mean on this sheet that would sweet, I have a basic idea but need help, please.
If anyone has any of the early Street commodore magazines say from 1 to 15 please contact me.
I have no. 18 and this has been confirmed by HSV so to the person who started this thread you do NOT have number 18 and you are full of it or been had.
You have anymore info Aliens that I can use to build up a full file on my DMG 90 that would be sweet.
PM me the list, as commodorenut from SC has given me a fair few of the codes for my cars, so could decipher some for ya.
