the reason i ask is that i've only owned my vn ss for a week or so now and i ran it down to E so i could fill up on bp ultimate.

i got 51 litres in before i gave my shoes a nice petrol bath

why would someone change an 80l tank for a 60l ??

could there be something wrong with my tank?

lol that last question sounds stupid - maybe i should go on ebay and get a performance fuel tank. lol

You might need to check if the 60lt/80lt switch behind the cluster is in the right position.

That's only for the trip computer, not the gauge.
As for the tank you have to remember you have fuel in the lines, pump, swirl tank, etc. Also the gauge sender and pickup arnt sitting on the bottom of the tank, so you a) have fuel up your sleeve (sender) and b) don't suck **** off the bottom (pickup).
