hey all -

when i turn my car over it won't start - instead, the indicators flash for about 20secs then stop. if i try it again, the same thing happens. i have been told by an auto electrician that they came out of the factory with an immobiliser - is this true? is it possible to override/byass this?

Too me it sounds like a immobilizer issue. Do you have central locking on this car? Does the dash beep at you? I know my car beeps at me when I havnt pressed the button on my keys to mobilize the car.

i do have central locking - i also have a llittle red led that flashes near cd player - but, i don't have a button on my key.

Sounds like the bcm has **** itself!

all sorted guys- had an aftermarket immobiliser... now removed.
