my vn wont change out of first and there is lumps in the oil on the dipstick.someone tell me its not stuffed.how much is a reasonable price for a rebuild etc

ok mate its not stuffed,now that ive said what ya wanted, the truth is ya need to get it rebuilt,probly cost ya around $1400 fitted for a full reco or get one from the wreckers for around $500 and take pot luck.

okay typically darwin.i have been quoted $1500-2200 locally.does anyone know a company that will post a box to darwin.

lol yea, if you can't get your hands on a cheap second box, you're possibly better off buying another VN and swapping over the good bits

Shop around all of the wreckers and get a cheap second hand box with three months warrenty. Or as others have said buy a parts cars and take the transmission out of that.
