Default Air con / temp control not working

Hey guys, my control for the air con / heater etc doesn't seem to be working, when i go to change it from demister to say the vents or so the air comes out down at my feet, it doesn't change, it's coming out from the vents, down at my feet, the demister vents.

Basically it has all the settings going at once, the loom in the back is plugged in properley and everything..........?

I don't really wanna drive in the rain with no demisters.

Vacuum hose? As in those 2 flexible vent looking things that sit each side of the centre console sort of behind and to each side of the head unit? Forgive my ignorance lol.

nah dude if ya take the dials out (like the whole thing, as if you were changing your headunit) you will see behind the dial that controls where you want the air to come out that there are small hoses going into the back of the dial (just above the loom i think). when your just driving around is there a sucking sound thats not normally there? if it is one of your vacuum hoses is either loose or not on at all.

those flexible vents on the side send the air to the back of the center console.

Yep there sure is a sucking sound like air escaping from something.

That's what i meant, that rubber plug is attached and so is the loom. Sorry i should have posted that better. It's got like coloured wires attached to a clear rubber plug that attaches to the back of the dial, then there is a loom under that.

i couldnt tell you where its connected to at the other end. simply cos i dont know. lol. you havent broken a hose have you? or maybe put the vacuum hoses on upside down? (i managed to do it dont ask how). also the hoses dont have to be right off for it to suck loud. mine were on just not pushed right in as tight as they go when i had the sucking noise..

Well i took it all apart and messed around and put it all back together and pushed that rubber plug on as far as it would go. Still no joy. Stuff it, it can stay broken.
