    Default busted bonet

On the weekend i had my bonnet up on the vp and the passenger side of it looked a bit lower than the other but i didn't think much of it at the time.
Then as i shut the bonnet i heard a massive "crunch" i look up and see that the back corner on passenger side hit the windscreen and cracked it now every time i close my bonnet it hits and make the crack bigger.
And when the bonnet is shut the passenger side sits up as if i have unlatched the bonnet.

I had a fiddle around with it but can see why its doing it, anybody got ideas?

    Cheers steve

Ouch... man, that sucks! My right-hand bonnet hinges were coming loose at one stage. Caused the bonnet to be off-center and a bit skew. Hopefully it's simply a matter of realigning everything and tightening it up nicely... maybe some loctite in the bolts to help them grip?

The bastard is, the most expensive part will be getting a new windsreen >.<

It happens because if the hinges aren't lubricated regularly, they seize and bend, altering the swing of the bonnet when it's opened.

Yeah, this is true. I lube up all my hinges and joints every 6 months. It can also just be blatantly loose bolts which cause the whole assembly to slip.
