high pitch squeeling at high speed
as the title says i have a problem with high pitch squeeling, but only does it if you have your foot flat to the floor. it almost sounds like a turbo, and this guy in a skyline thought i had one, because when i take off from the lights and give it a heap at arround 5k rpm the noise starts. any ideas what it could be?
yeh i have that same sound on my VP and i have heard it coming from the exhaust in a few other older commys, must just have something to do with the pressure and acoustics of a standard exhaust
Try it without the missus in the car and it probably won't be there.
Maybe the belt is slipping or loose so it squeals from the high revs ?
maybe change the belt with a performance one ?
My old VC use to do it from the leaking front seal splashing oil onto the fan belt and it squealed like a bitch , had to degrease the belt a few times until I ****ed the car off and got the vn.

Vn executive 1990 200,000kms as of 13/6/08 , oil changes every 5000kms since it rolled out the factory , strut brace for hard cornering, kn pod filter, Ngk iridiums sports exhaust..what else can I say I love my holden
