    Default Steam pouring from dash

    hey there,
long time since ive posted but i'm a little bit stumped. In the mourning when i start my car after a little bit of driving steam starts to come from underneith the dash on both sides, more so on the drivers side. So of course it's the heater pipe, but i cant see any leaks insde the car or out, however i am loosing water, at a decent amount, if anyone has the instant quick fix for this that would be good, i'll check over the engine tomoz to see if anything is out of place. the wierd thing is it only happens the first time i start the car for the day, i.e if i jump in the car after work it wont do it, but say i dont drive the car all day untill 5pm and i jump in it wil do it, if that makes sense
    Cheers
    Chris

    HMMMMMMMMM
Sounds like a heater core to me,look underneath at where the aircon bleed comes out (around the trans) if your losing that much coolant you should see it running out, then its only a matter of replacing the core.

Are u sure that it is steam???
Could it be cold condensed air from aircon ducting that maybe is not on properly?
Just a thought seeing that you are not losing any coolant.
    Good luck!

    G'day again CSL.
I see you have diagnosed your fault, when i did my dash conversion i simply cut the heater pipes inside the car down near the heater core,i know its possible to get the core out without doing it this way but sheesh it makes it a hell of a lot easier, just be sure to cut them on a straight section.
    regards Phillip

    thanks heaps guys,
i might just isolate the collant to the engine bay for now, but when the time comes that quick method seems like the way to go
