hey has anyone with a v8 got this problem that whenever your driving and other people see ur car they automaticly start going spastic on the road and tryna race or jus speed past or something? lol its funny sometimes. especially ricers tryna prove themselves lol. i think in the first week i got my car about 5 people tried to race me or prove themselves. i smoked those ricers. and fords. haha

Yes it happens where im from (WA) people will get behind you and try do stupid stuff (get up your ass, try 'drift' round corners when they are behind u)
or overtake you in an 80k zone in 1 lane when theres traffic..

my gf has it much worse as she is only an L plater and he has a 5ltr vs she gets all kinds of folk driving like assholes around her even more, then she has the cops on her for little things like taking a roundabout 'too fast'

There are always ppl that will try and show off around ya.
Used to happen in my vr v6 also, but in the clubby i tend to have heaps of ppl just outright STARE at me, and automatically think im doin somthing wrong or try and race me just because my car is loud lol.
But its pretty funny some times, i once had a jeep try and race me, and of course i didnt even bother, and just shifted at bout 3 or 3 and a half grand and then they were pointing and laughing at me because they actually thought they had beaten me.... lol

Hey Mate, im a P plater in a VY S V6 and i get it all the time also from WA, and i just ignor them aye, i dont even look at them at the lights, just take off as slow as i can just to **** them off hehe (and it works)...

Down here in Bunbury, doesn't matter what you drive, who ever is behind you for some reason has to be in front of you. Bunbury is not that big a place where one car position makes a difference to the time taken to get somewhere.

lol i usualy just let em go at the lights and let em think they have it over me..lol its funny when they yell OH U GOT SMASHED lol when u wernt even racing them lol

but its fun when they try and and rev it up behind u and talegate u trying to get a race...lol i just flick down a gear punch it and let it smoke up a little bit.. seems to get em to stop when you happening to be already doing 60ks when u decide to let it loose grip lol

in adelaide i was at a set of lights nd a POS (piece of SH..) xr8 falcon pulled up next 2 me wantin 2 race or somethin like that but as soon as the lights went green i took of normally nd he gunned it not realisin on the other side of me was a cop. SUCKER he got pulled over nd prob. got done 4 hoonin.

Bingo, i have a HSV +6, so whenever i go through Frankston at night if theres anyone in a done up car or they have a P Plate they try to race. Simple as that. Usually a few people in stock VTs and VXs, then you have the modded VNs, VPs and turbo VLs.

Theres a guy in the area who sunk about 10k into a VP and the thing is pretty quick, ive seen it burn off alot of other cars.

I know this one tool, who owned a twin turbo civic ricer, pulled up next to a VY with stockies and raced him up to 170km/h and then the red & blue lights come on, he panics so he stops and gets out of the car all hysteric and stuff, and the coppa must of thought he was trying to run or something and he got taken down hard haha. Ownage.

i love seeing damm turbo cars that speed up just so they can hear their car sneezing.. but by the time they hear the dose or whatever, they have to hit the skids real hard cos theyre up someones rear. nearly saw an accident due to this last night. the only time i wont laugh at them is if they stack up my rrs.

yeh i was drivin around perth city one night with my boys and it was rainin and i still had my vx exec and i stopped at a set of lights and this chick in a vs statesman v6 pulled up aswell and seein the P plate on my window thought i wanted to drag but i was jus out for a cruise to check out the spastics runnin around in the night life and the lights went green and she planted it spinnin it in the rain and i jus casually strolled along and on the other side u jus see a cop car turn there sirens on and then the cop went to pull out quickly almost causing me to smash into him but luckily i braked. the cop pulled me over too but he let me go seemin as tho i didnt do anything wrong and the other driver got done ahaha.

I love traffic lights in an 80 zone.

Not much gets past the VN under 80 with a fast reaction time and good tyres, I get them just about every time.

Only been beaten a few times and they always would cherp into second as I pull out at 80.

A car that cherps into second as you all know is a strong car. My VN has been stock (single 3.08 diff) from new until it had the SV3800 tune put in last year. (Thats 17 years of drag racing off the lights).

I did get booked in my RX4 when I was 18 when the tyres let go over the painted line (I think the exhaust may have had something to do with it along with the copper sitting accross the road). So now its only half throttle till I'm over the paint then flat. Works a treat
