brake/park lights vn calais v8

ok......i have replaced and cleaned all contacts on all bulbs........but still have problem of park lights in front coming on, and the light symbol on dash board........This sounds like a common problem........I would like to know where else to look........must be a wiring problem (rub through) etc..... would like to know if any one can point me in the right direction or have had same problem....cheers

Which lights are working?
and which lights are not working?
Do the brake lights work when you stab the pedal?

ok......when i brake my park lights come on and the symbol on the dash, and instrument lights also..............
