Security system stoped working

Hi all i have a 93 vp and the security system stoped working ANY ONE HAD THIS PROB ??any help would be good ps i have turn it off at the left door but the fuil pump still dont come on

It sounds like it could be the door pillar switch itself, which is quite a common failure.

Have you tried another remote (if you have one)? The switch could have already been stuffed on the overide side and the anti-theft be inoperative for another reason.

Just to confirm that it is problem with the anti-theft system, one indication is that the "Check Engine" light doesn't come on with the ignition on and the engine off, when you press the remote. The overide switch completely disconnects the anti-theft system so if it is working it might be a fault somewhere else.
