    Default vn has no power

hey guys got a big prob with the vn, it has absolutely no power, not even the interior light, we tested a couple of things yesterday and this is what we know

theres spark coming from the starter motor side of the loom as we tested that yesterday but no spark on the battery side,

we have no idea what it could be, we were thinking it might be the ignition module, but then we thought "why wouldnt the interior light not be working",

so we thought it might be the fuses, so we checked them, and there all good,

then we thought it was the computer so we changed it with scotts bt1 one and no change

so now we think its the dash loom coz we have power coming from the engine loom but not from the part of the dash loom in the engine bay, but why wouldnt there be any power at all if it was the dash loom??

Bulb for the light might be blown? Have you checked how charged the battery is?

well ill tell u a little history of the car, its my misses car, its a v8 but we had a mildly worked v8 sitting in the garage and she wanted it so we decided to swap engines,
once we swapped the engines, somethig was draining the battery so we took it to a mechanic and he said it was an electrical problem, so he called a auto elec to come fix it which he did, but the car used to cough and fart like it had a miss, we just thought it was a tuning prob, but we had no trouble other than that

then i was driving it back from work yesterday, drove up my driveway and it stalled, that was it now we cant start it, i had a look at the wires near the starter motor, and they were all melted together like really fried because the wires were touching the body, so i seperated them and now that side of the engine loom works fine but the dash loom on the otherside doesnt

You have a short somewhere. The only thing to do is start pulling the loom out to try and find it. Because the starter wires were melted together, start there. Trace all the wiring and you will find something either worn through and shorting on the body or broken and shorting.
