    Default O2 sensor

The yellow engine light on the dash means O2 sensor right?
I dont have any fault codes for this but 75% of the time im driving there is the yellow sign and the rest there is nothing..the otherday i noticed my fan came on and the light dissapeared right away.

This doesnt affect the car performance but can anyone tell me why its sometimes there and not?

The light (Check Engine Light) means that a fault code is active ie. present. The light goes out when the conditions for the code, or codes, to set are no longer there. I assume that this means that replacing the battery and/or terminals hasn't fixed your code 42.

What I have said in previous threads (I hope!) is to see if the CEL comes on when you try various things to get the code to trigger, such as move wiring the harnesses between the DFI and ECM and connections or tap the ECM case with your fingers.

New battery has fixed all stalling probs since, getting new connectors this week. thanks i wasnt sure if the CEL meant O2 but that makes more much sense.
