Transmission swap

Hi,
I have a VN 90' v6 with a OHDM code transmission, the transmission is rooted as it takes 2hrs to go into gear and rattles too.

I picked up a transmission off ebay for $50 and was told it will go in the VN, well the code is 4HDD which i have looked up and found its from a VS v6.

can anyone confirm if it will fit ok and if anything is needed extra when swapping transmissions like new mounts, seals, bolts etc.

I will change the drive shaft seal and the oil tray seal and filter.

Well, if it's an auto box your talking about (I don't know what codes mean what) but from VR onwards they were electronic gearboxes, so I think you're gonna need to change the ECU or the memcal, though I think ECU is the same, so maybe just the memcal.

no it wont work, 4HDD is from a 1994 model VR and wont work with the VN computer... you need a VR computer and transmission wiring loom if you want top run it.... sell it and get a box TH700-R4 box out of the VN....
