Has anyone with a VN/P V6 constructed some sort of airbox or housing for a pod filter? I'm trying to make one and I need some ideas. Pictures would be appreciated.
Cheers guys, Eddy
Maybe you should do a search next time.
VN Pod filter housing
lol if u construct an airbox u have just gone and assed about to have the same thing as chucking a highflow panel filter in a stock airbox ...
but u could always weld up a stainless airbox to house it in if u want some bling in your bay

yeh i already did a search, but i dont want to cut up my original box i want to make a new one, so if i get defected i can just slap the orig straight back on.
Dont bother, just make a hole in the bottom of your airbox and drop a pipe!
btw from Coventrys top part of the box is 30$, bottom is 20$ thats new

Do something like this, you can buy the silicon hose adaptor and chrome pipe work from sprints etc are also sold on ebay for the buick v6.... Just cut to suit the angle and the pod screws on, you could weld a piece of metal to hold the pod to the chassis. Mine works fine and car doesn't overheat.Just the pod moves a bit on idle due to my engine and cam size.

But you can easily cost yourself 5 or 10 hp with a open pod, you can't afford to throw away that much power on a V6
I am in the middle of a design for a 100mm flexi pipe FCAI. It will be connected to the hole in the front bar of my GTS. The design will only be usefull for a GTS or GRP A front bar, but I may end up making design plans for a VP SS Bezel or even VN SS Bezel. Thats if someone wants to sacrifice a Foglight for CAI, may look a bit silly.
