Why does it have to be tight? Only reason would be racing or burnouts, which if you can't afford to get the LSD tightened you can't afford the tyres, fuel and possible breakages.

i have axles sitting here. stockies. i can afford fuel. just an $80 spool is cheaper than a 6 to 700 hundred dollar rebuild.

Aslong as the spool is a 4 pin 28 spline (which i am 99% sure EA-EF falcons are) it will go straight in. Your best bet would be to sell you LSD diff complete get a complete single wheeler diff and bang the spool in that! Failing that you can put a single wheeler centre in your current housing with the spool in it.

From memory I paid $380 to have my LSD diff rebuilt, tightened and fitted. They even painted it So not sure about the 6-700 hundred :S
