Engine Mounts... Lifetime?

I was going through some receipts today and found that I replaced the engine mounts in mid (May) 2006, and it appears the have once again sagged and the left hand mount either has a crack or a stress line.

Surely engine mounts last longer than 18 months? Is there a heavier duty option? The left hand side mount is in particular a real pain to replace, so something I don't wanna do again for several years.

i'd think they'd last longer then 18months. last time i bought engine mounts at BNT the guy said if i kept my old engine mounts they could remanufacture em using urethane, from memory it wasn't cheap i think but somebody must be able to do it. maybe contact noltec. if there is a market for better mounts maybe they would be interested in doing em etc
