chrome door handles

hey guys
can anyone tell me how i go about making my VN exterior handles chrome or polished...
is it just sanding or do i need to get the chrome dipped?

its my understanding that there plastic handles arnt they? lol never taken much notice... but u will have to get them chromed if there plastic...dunno how they do plastics but they get it done...

Buy VR/VS ones. And get them chromed. All 4 of mine cost $120 from chrome masters in elizabeth. You have to replace the rubber stoppers on the back of the handle, got mine from holden. They don't make those ones but they make similar ones that are bigger. Those bigger stoppers are made for the VT/VX (not sure where they are used on the car.) I just drilled out the hole slightly and chopped of the top to come level with the old rubber stoppers.

Holden doesn't make them and anyone that has them or sells them is doing what I just suggested.

how much would a set of VR/VS handles cost?

I picked up a set with surrounds for $44 I think. From Just commodore spares. Go to U-Pull-It and get some though, cos A) You'll know how to take them off and B) they may be cheaper.
