    Default injectors clogging up

The other day i noticed my car was running really bad missing, so i got new plugs and leads which didnt seem to fix the problem at all.
I then removed the injector plugs one by one to see if they were all working, 2 werent working at all!
So i pulled the injector rail up and took the 2 injectors out that werent working, the filter baskets in the injectors were 3/4 full of black gunk, i replaced them 2 injectors and the car run fine again for a day but now its running bad again. Im guessing all the other injectors would be fairly blocked too but what would be causing this as the fuel filter should allow this much gunk past it?
Fuel filter buggered and letting dirty fuel through?

perished fuel hose?? could be eating the inside of the fuel line out and clogging it up cos they are infront of the filter?

just took the fuel filter out and turned it upside down so it ran out the end that the fuel went in and it was BLACK, so i cut the filter open and the whole filter was black.
think this is half the problem but im worried that if i replace the filter the fuel in my tank will be so dirty that the new filter will clog up straight away.

take your tank out and clean it out with a few litres of white spirits? upend it and leave it dry, check all the fuel lines and put it back in with another filter.... prolly wouldnt hurt to remove the pump filter cos if thats black then it definately coming from in the tank

Seeing how 2 injectors werent working,i wouldnt blame them for the problem just yet.Because the coil packs fire 2 cylinders.I would have checked for black powdery build up on the tops of the coil pack plug ends and also checked the ends of the old sparks where the lead goes onto if there is signs of black powder burns i would replace that coil pack.If the coil pack is at fault or is faulty it is probably due to faulty leads which have a too high resistence and over time burns out the plugs and the coil, very common on falcons.

mate V8's dont ahve coil packs they have a dizzy and a DFI module... if it hasnt got injector pulse on 1 cylinder it hasent got injector pulse anywhere cos they are all linked together and if it doesnt have spark on one cylinder that leads farcucked or your rotor cap is dodgy

it was definately the injectors as i pulled these 2 injectors and they were fully clogged up, ive cleaned them all with a can of crc and its running fine again and replaced my fuel filter as it was full of black gunk too. Still not running 100% though.

PM800 will clean your tank well, as well as the injectors themselves. Be prepared though, as if your tank is that bad you probably will go through 3 or 4 fuel filters at about 10 000k's each untill its clean
