    Default coil pack

    hi, got a coilpack of my mate, its of a vp, is it a straight swap on to my s-1 vn , thanks...........

    No, it will fit. The series 1 had a one piece coil pack, a lot of people change them to the multi coils so if one failed it is cheaper to do.

    Exactly as "Not_AN_Abba_Fan" says, if you bought the coil pack from the wreckers you should have the DFI underneath the coil pack. You need to take off the Series 1 coil pack and the series 1 DFI Module with it (the series 1 DFI is that thick metal thing under the coil. Just get a socket and undo the bolt that has the wires coming to the dfi and undo the bolts that hold the dfi and coil on and install the series 2 dfi and coil pack and you'll be right

    They do fit, there is a plate you need fitted to the bottom of the DFI, Petroject sell them I think, you also need VN SII on leads (they are a longer lead) You can also buy the conversion kits Coil pack, DFI, Plate and lead sets they used to be about the $400 mark.

    Vn S1 Leads can fit cause i still got mine on the S2 coil pack but when u need to buy more leads just change to S2. What do people think about topgun 10mm leads?

    Some people have had dramas with Topgun, but if you don't have a race engine that pumps out 8000 rpm +, 10mm leads are no better than any other. A lead is a lead is a lead.

    I got myself a set of bosch leads for my car.... fairly new and are just as fine .. abba where abouts did you get yourself those ngk leads?
