vn execitive window wiper assembaly

Hi all
My wipers stay off half way up my window.
I have taken window wiper motor out got inside motor and am interested to find out how to put the big sproket back into the housing so when the wipers are turned off the blades sit at the bottom of the window in there normal position.
At the moment they are half way up the window in the off position.
Im guessing the sproket has been put in at the wrong position in relation to the contact witch is under the sproket.
Can any one please help me.

its easier to get a working unit. after 18 years mine suddly went too far and snapped the mechanism arm. just wears with age i guess
