hey guys
i've had my VP lowered on pedders springs and shocks to what im pretty sure is just a tad above legal height.. and i still think the back sits a bit high for my liking. just want to know if there is any way of getting it to sit a bit lower without having to replace the springs (if possible). i have heard people speaking of getting springs compressed.. is this doable/safe etc?
here she is at current height:
oh and no, carrying heavy sh*t in the boot is not really an option lol.
thanks
Ric

it's getting kinda HEKT1K...
Legal Eye Brow heights for SA are 320mm front, and 290mm rear. Measured from the middle of the hub, to the top of the guard. Not sure how those heights compare to other states, but that should give you a rough idea of what they allow.

to make it lower you have a few options, some legal, some not...
1. Springs compressed. You can have your springs compressed, its legal and its safe. Usually the better option is to replace the spring but its still an option.
2. Get some calais spats, there an attachment to the guard which cover the wheel arch, come on statos aswell
3. Cut your springs(DONT DO THIS! THIS IS REALLY REALLY BAD) im only listing it as its an option and im all for people make responsible decisions. Dont do it. Basically you cut the spring until it sits the height you want, usually one coil at a time. Again, DONT DO THIS.
4. Get new springs, i know its not an option for you really but sell you current spring to recoup costs.
To be perfectly honest, you have a nice even ride height at the moment. Objectively you should just leave it.
aZk.

lol i was afraid you might say that. i think that's the most sensible option.. i just wanted it to look a bit more dumped.
ill have a look at getting the springs compressed and see if it's worth it or not.
thanks a lot for the help guys
