I need info please, air compressor & noise from camshaft bearing ?

the cars just hit 197,000km's and shes 18 years old but i wouldn't have expected engine probs till atleast 300,000kms considering I look after it.
I call it a she cause it acts like a woman , never happy lol

I have had this car since 1990 payed $26k for it and I dont thrash the thing only now and then when needed and oil changes every 4000-5000kms , coolant changes..etc .. I do that myself which anyone can do as theres not much involved but If i sell her then I wont get much even though the car kicks ass over some of my mates vs-vt's and if i buy a 2nd hand car then im just buying into other problems.

Ive spent $1000 on new suspension , bearing plates.
$1000 for paint respray
$200 on power steering pressure hose replaced
$300 on injector service , 2 replaced
$300 on 2x water pumps
$100 rocker cover gaskets replaced
$200 on new overflow coolant bottle
$800 on 2x radiators
$40 on coolant temp sensors etc
$300 on 3X oxygen sensors
today--> $270 on 2nd hand compressor to be fitted
$120 for regassing

And I eventually have to get steering rack replaced for $350

all of this work has been done in last 9 years...
